UPSR tomorrow

Finally, UPSR is just hours away! Damian has been counting down since the beginning of the school year and as the days pass, he got more and more tensed. We kept telling him to relax, but he seemed unable to do that. He tells me that everytime he thinks about UPSR, he gets stomach-ache and his heart beats faster.

Well... he doesn't excatly bury his nose in his revision books. In fact, I think he reads more story books than he does his school books. And he always gets good results - well, most of the time anyway, except for BM Pemahaman paper. That's the paper he's most worried about.

Hmmm.... we didn't have UPSR back then. We has something called 'Assessment Exams' in Standard 5. I was so lost during those primary years. I went to school one day and found out there's an important exam that day! Hahaha. I bet my brainy friend SY was prepared ages ago! (I mentioned SY here before.) I turned out ok. Didn't ace every subject, but I turned out ok.
But I know Damian will be ok. He'll get his 5A's.
What's the big deal about A's anyway?

Master Mind Power?

I'm soooo excited to share this with you now, because I've had a chance to try this myself, and it is almost unbelievable how powerful this is: http://www.mindmovies.com/?13770

I apologize if I get right to the point, but this is too important to spend a bunch of time dancing around it. Let me explain...

One thing I've noticed along the way is how difficultit can be to try and get your "inner game" finely tuned so you actually can achieve what you want in life. This applies to business, personal life, finances...EVERYTHING. Sure, you can set goals and all that, but somehow you just seem to lose focus before you get there. It's kind of like too much garbage gets in the way, you know?

All that is about to change!Because now there is a powerful way to literally set your sights on what you want to happen in your life, and then GET IT--simply by watching a movie.

I'm NOT kidding. The best thing is for you to see how this works for yourself. I think you'll catch the vision very quickly when you do. Watch this to find out how to achieve anything you want: http://www.mindmovies.com/?13770

P.S. I Almost forgot to mention, they have some great bonuses ... so check them out, and see how this can help achieve all your goals in life. http://www.mindmovies.com/?13770

My Millionaire

Attended the Millionaire Mind Intensive by T.Harv Eker with Damian.

Damian has always been very money-minded. While some [like some older folks, and even some younger ones] might frown on this, I actually encourage this!! How I wished I have been money-minded from an earlier age! Then I would have learned more about making and managing my money and not make the mistakes I made!

So.... Damian is having an early start!! When asked why he wants to be rich, his answers are the usual buy books & toys, live in big house and go on holidays. But on his list there are also:
  • build libraries for all the poor people

  • save the planet by creating environmental awareness

  • build schools

  • give money to people affected by natural disasters
Now of course you might still be able to do that if you are poor, but we believe we can do more if we are rich!! And we'll have more fun too!!!

Keep Moving Forward Damian!!

Go Get It! Period!

One of my favourite movie is "In Pursuit of Happyness".

It’s a great movie starring Will Smith as Chris Gardner.Always hard working and tenacious, a series of circumstances in the early 1980’s left Gardner homeless in San Francisco and the sole guardian of his toddler son. Unwilling to give up Chris Jr. or his dream of financial independence, Gardner started at the bottom.

Without connections or a college degree, he earned a spot in the Dean Witter Reynolds training program.Often spending his nights in a church shelter or the bathroom at a Bay Area Rapid Transit station in Oakland (that scene moved me to tears!), Gardner was the sole trainee offered a job at Dean Witter Reynolds in 1981.

"You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you that you can't do it. You want something? Go get it. Period" Chris Gardner to Jr.

I urged you to go get a copy of this most inspiring movie. You'll understand....

My new website

Whoppeee!!! I've just built my own website! It's http://www.breastfeeding.weebly.com/

Weebly allows you to quickly and easily build your own website and to host it with them for FREE.

I've always been confused navigating the wold of websites, web hosting, domains etc. I've been intrigued, but all these words are 'martian' to me. I'm the type of person who only cares that when I switch on my laptop, it's working and can get connected to the internet.

So, you can see... I'm mighty proud of myself!! Hooray! No longer confused! Am a top-notch web-designer! Hahaha!

Spring Cleaning

I received this in the email, and I really like it:

Last Week I threw out worrying,
It was getting old and in the way
It kept me from being me;
I couldn't do things God's way.

I threw out a book on MY PAST (Didn't have time to read it anyway).
Replaced it with NEW GOALS, Started reading it today.

I threw out hate and bad memories, (Remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too,
Threw out the one from long ago.
Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.

WOW, you should've seen the dust.

I ran across an OLD FRIEND, I hadn't talked to in a while.
His name is GOD the Father, and I really like His style.
He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself.
Like PRAYER, HOPE, FAITH and LOVE,
Yes... I placed them right on the shelf.

I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door.
I FOUND IT- it's called PEACE.
Nothing gets me down anymore.

Yes, I've got my house looking nice, Looks good around the place
For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any space.
It's good to do a little house cleaning,
Get rid of the things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter;
maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.

BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

Bless someone. Keep the Faith!

Happy

The family's so happy! Happy came to us last Saturday 21 March 2009. Sine then, the home is filled with cheerful cries of "Happy!! Happy Come here! Happy Stay! Happy Stand! Happy Fetch!!"

Happy is our new Dog! She is a beautiful mix of 'something' and 'something' = MONGREL

I got to know about Happy through the lady who sells chicken at the market. Apparently the previous owner has nose cancer and the doctor said 'No dogs!" They're looking for someone to adopt their beloved dog. Otherwise, it'll have to go to SPCA.

Growing up, we always have dogs around. But since I got married and have kids, we did not have any pets. My record isn't very good when it comes to dogs.

About 3 years ago, we got a stray dog home. We named her Princess. But Princess was sick, and the vet advised us to put her to sleep.

Then a friend gave us "Max", a mix-bred Terrier who was a bit mad. The kids were terrified of him. For such a small dog, it could bite! So, we gave it away to my aunt's friend who has a big Mastiff. They're adorable together, but when Max got out of line, a growl from the Mastiff is enough to make Max cower.

After that we adopted a 'vegetable-dog' aka market-mongrel named Bubbles. Bubbles was great until, one night as I was driving my car into the house, she broke free of her chain and ran off. She came back to the gate and when I opened it for her, she ran off again. She kept at this several times until I got fed-up! It's already 1 am! So I left Bubbles outside and never saw her again!

Now we've got Happy!!! Happy has been to dog training school. She knows where her 'toilet' is (on a patch of grass in front of the house). She knows that when we start the car, she must go into her cage (or she might be runned-over). We don't even have to lock the cage! She's gentle and friendly. She's obedient. She's clean and disease free. She doesn't touch our shoes! She's a fantastic dog, and we're happy with Happy!!

It's so nice hearing "Happy, Happy, Happy" ringing through the house.
Hmm... I'm thinking... maybe we should get another dog and name it "Money"!

On My Declarations

The declarations I wrote yesterday came from "Master Your Mind" a T.Harv Eker's Signature Seminar.

Have you ever wondered why it seems that some people usually succeed? And others seem to be constantly struggling to make ends meet?

The people who succeed know how to program their minds for success, while the others may be operating under negative suggestions or beliefs developed early in life which inhibit their success.

I have learnt (with many amazing testimonials from successful people) that the results of positive declarations are very powerful when used on a regular basis. I can have the power to reprogram my conscious, sub-conscious and unconscious mind and create what I want by repeating to myself these declarations everyday.
Sounds too good to be true? Well... I'm going to give it a shot anyway. After all.... no harm can come from telling myself good things about myself right?
